Due to the characteristics of flexographic printing in terms of production process and product environmental protection, it is increasingly adopted by manufacturers of food packaging and pharmaceutical packaging. So many manufacturers will ask this question: How to improve the printing quality of flexographic printing? How to make flexo printing comparable to offset printing and gravure printing? However, there are many factors affecting flexographic printing. This has led some manufacturers into such a Misunderstanding.
Flexographic printing should be practical. To have good print quality, we must consider it from many aspects. The first point I want to talk about is the plate. The finesse and compatibility of platemaking are the primary factors that affect the quality of flexo printing, which requires a good plate. Now that we have a digital version, there has been a great improvement in the precision of platemaking. Kodak's media is now compatible with various levels of reproduction requirements from 95% to 2%; the traditional version can also achieve more than 150lpi accuracy. Of course, prepress processing is also very important and cannot be ignored. For example, in the design of the pattern, some high light spots should be avoided as much as possible, because too small high light spots will be worn out in a short time, resulting in the occurrence of white defects. Therefore, excellent prepress processing is actually the mother of excellent print quality. Only on the premise of ensuring the correct prepress processing, a high-quality printing plate can exert its effect better.
The second point, the quality of the ceramic anilox roller is also an important factor that directly affects the quality of the flexographic printing. Of course, many manufacturers can do ceramic anilox roller, and it is not difficult to do one or two roots, but it is not every factory that can do every one of the anilox rollers very stably. There are only three or four of the world's most stable and perfect rolls.
So what kind of ceramic anilox roller is high quality? The first is the shape tolerance of the roller body (out-of-roundness) processing capability, which is not an ordinary manufacturer can do well. Many manufacturers say: We can also make anilox rollers and they are cheaper. So many users fell into this misunderstanding: think that the surface looks like a ceramic roller would feel no problem. But in fact, do they actually test whether its roundness meets the requirements? If it is not possible to meet the requirements, what are the conditions for high-quality printing effects? Not to mention what is comparable to offset printing and gravure printing!
Followed by the anti-corrosion treatment of the roll body is also very important, because the water-based ink is alkaline and corrosive. Some ceramic rollers process well, but the anti-corrosion ability does not meet the requirements, so it is not a good brand. Anti-corrosion not only requires the matrix to be handled well, but also has a high density requirement for spraying. The quality of ceramic materials is the key. Inexpensive, low-quality ceramic materials often fail to meet the requirements and they cannot print high-quality products.
In addition, the parameters that really affect printing quality are the number of lines and the amount of ink loaded on the ceramic anilox roller. Many people know that the higher the number of lines is, the better the matching of high-quality printing, but the high number of lines means that the amount of ink is not enough, and the performance of the rich printing color cannot be satisfied. Therefore, an anilox roller with a high number of lines and a large amount of ink can truly match high-quality flexographic printing and is indispensable. However, an anilox roller with a high number of lines and a large amount of ink cannot be done by every manufacturer. At the very least, cheap, low-grade anilox rollers certainly cannot do it. The use of low-grade ceramic roller manufacturers is into this misunderstanding, thinking that the anilox roller is not very important! In order to have a good printing effect, we must come out from the wrong zone, really pay attention to the quality of the anilox roller and its The important role played in printing. Then go to talk about high-quality printing effects, and then talk about offset printing and gravure printing.
The third point is the choice of scraper. Many manufacturers think that metal scraper will hurt the ceramic anilox roller, which is also a misunderstanding. How hard can ceramic be so scratched? If it isn't artificially tapping it, it won't be damaged! The ceramic roller's ink is like gravure ink, and the excess ink is high The guarantee of quality printing, so we should be the preferred metal scraper. Of course, excellent scrapers should be flexible, high accuracy, and some also have the ability to prevent corrosion, such as the Italian CBG's gold medal on the flexo printing performance is more prominent, can fully meet the requirements.
